Abstract For stabilizing the power grid during voltage dips, a doubly fed induction machines (DFIM)-based flywheel energy storage system is applied in this paper. The reactive support dips requires well-coordinated control schemes to handle transient challenges for grid-connected DFIM. These are high induced rotor voltages due DC and negative sequence flux linkages, saturation of machine torque. purpose, collectively controls symmetrical components currents referred same reference frame by means resonant controllers. In context, observer required robustly decrease natural linkage using demagnetization current approach. Based on simulations measurements, effectiveness presented ensure dynamic contribution dip emphasized. Simultaneously with reduction voltage, injection present almost instantly after started converter capability system.
