Abstract
Ensuring
the
reliability
of
railway
transportation
is
heavily
dependent
on
quality
its
infrastructure.
In
this
regard,
renewal
and
maintenance
track
infrastructure,
referred
to
as
trackwork,
play
a
vital
role.
However,
trackwork
execution
requires
temporary
capacity
restrictions
for
train
traffic.
Therefore,
harmonising
schedules
critical
but
challenging
accomplish
when
one
frequently
changing.
This
paper
explores
models
nature
schedule
instability
at
tactical
level
scheduling
process.
We
analyse
data
from
year
rolling
horizon
plans,
focusing
weekly
changes
eight
key
locations
across
Sweden’s
network.
Our
study
considers
various
factors
that
may
affect
stability,
such
type,
location,
time
day,
traffic
intensity,
type
prevailing
find
increases

approaches
end.
The
regression
analysis
reveals
most
significant
predictors
in

previous
changes,

vs.

work
location
(at
station

stations),

Abstract
This
work
addresses
the
problem
of
assigning
preventive
maintenance
jobs
in
a
52‐week
planning
horizon.
Given
set
machines
that
need
maintenance,
these
machines,
teams,
and
horizon,
consists
each
job
to
team

instant
aiming
minimize
cost
with
teams
performing
unscheduled
using
outsourced
teams.
We
propose
an
iterated
local
search
(ILS)‐based
algorithm
specialized
for
this
problem.

real
instances,
ILS
achieved

algorithms.
