This paper highlights the potential of Sargassum algae, recovered from raw beach seaweed wastes, as a valid source valuable sodium alginate. Alginate is biodegradable, highly attractive polysaccharide widely used in food, pharmaceuticals, and biomedicine applications. The aim this work to employ new eco-sustainable cost-effective extractive method obtain alginate material pollutant organic seaweeds. Algae were exposed microwave pre-treatment under static dynamic conditions, three different protocols followed: (a) conventional, (b) hot water (c) alkaline method. All samples characterized by GPC, SEM, FTIR/ATR TGA. It was found that alginate’s best performances obtained followed protocol. Nevertheless, algae allowed easiest breaking their cell walls following fast releasing authors demonstrated microwave-enhanced extraction an effective way Sargassum-stranded waste materials approach. The European production of seaweed, including kelp species, is increasing, but efficient processing schemes for complete biomass valorization are still lacking. In this study, we investigated the effect combining pulsed electric field (PEF) and soaking/blanching treatments (10, 45, 60 °C) on chemical composition sugar kelp. Furthermore, suggest applications various fractions resulting from different pre-processing steps. More dry matter was extracted with increasing degree processing. Combining PEF blanching gave highest extraction yield (˜60 %) compared to only using one steps (˜40 %). compounds contained ash (including iodine), polyphenols, mannitol. Proteins, heavy metals, other sugars, (presumably) fiber were concentrated in solid fractions. Based composition, within food, feed, agriculture, nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals suggested extracts. These results can be relevant researchers investigating novel technologies, food safety, as well seaweed industry, selection technologies product applications.
