The application of large amounts red mud in the field building materials is one main ways to reuse this material, but high alkali content limits its application. In paper, washable alkali, removable and lattice contents Bayer were studied, occurrence states potassium sodium studied using XRD, IR, XPS, NMR. On basis, removal mechanism for was analyzed. results showed that Na mainly deposited shelf silicon voids hydroxy sodalite (Na8(AlSiO4)6(OH)2(H2O)2) form Si-O-Na or Al-O-Na. K silico-oxygen void feldspar (KAlSi3O8) Si-O-K Al-O-K. 13.7% 4.47%; agent CaO removed 83.1% 50.8% mud; 3.20% 44.8%, respectively. process dealkalization, Ca2+ ions can enter internal hydroxyl silica skeleton then replace Al3+ Si-O Na+ K+ voids. replacement reaction changes tetrahedron network structure, resulting disintegration frame-like feldspar, forming an isolated, island-like hydrated garnet.

Construction and demolition wastes, especially autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), increase with the expansion of construction. AAC is a high-porosity material surface rich in metal hydroxides, which promotes both biofilm growth phosphate binding. This study assessed efficiency using grains for recovery phosphorus (P) biological treatment municipal wastewater (MWW). Batch adsorption tests synthetic phosphate-rich determined affinity P 3–5 mm 5–10 grains, profiles were obtained. adsorbed well maximum 1.1 mg P/g based on Langmuir isotherm model removal >96% (initial concentration 30 mg/L). Biofiltration through three reactor tanks particles (30–50 mm) was performed by circulating MWW retention times 19–40 h to evaluate elimination (E) chemical oxygen demand (COD), total nitrogen (TN), (TP) each tank. The biofiltration system effectively removed target pollutants, E values ranging from 80% 90% COD, 38% 70% TN, 92% TP. high led MWW, resulting content 1.33 g/kg system. demonstrated that waste can serve as an inexpensive easily recyclable used treat MWW.

Red mud is a red-coloured, mud-like solid waste discharged from the industrial aluminium production process, which has high output and pollutant. It exhibits small particle size large specific surface area contains active oxides. In this study, "red mud" "phosphate" were used as keywords to retrieve research hotspots progress for red phosphate adsorbent in past 10 y.CiteSpace VOSviewer visual literature analysis software cluster countries, institutions, authors, keywords.Related patents showed that on adsorption performance of considerably increased since 2013 China made significant contribution. This paper summarises main chemical composition modification methods collects relevant mechanism data adsorption/desorption using an adsorbent.Summarising microstructure adsorbent, it found there are few reports based density functional theory. This study suggests problem steric hindrance process needs further research.
