Soft dielectric elastomers (SDEs) represent a category of intelligent electroactive materials utilized in electro-mechanical actuation technology. The dynamic performance these during is notably affected by intrinsic factors like crosslinks, entanglements and the limited extensibility polymer chains. In this paper, we provide theoretical framework for modeling behavior balloon actuator made up soft elastomer. To account inherent characteristics chain networks, employ physics-based nonaffine material model proposed Davidson Goulbourne. governing equation motion established using Euler–Lagrange’s conservative systems. reported then to explore transient response, stability, periodicity resonance properties elastomer (DEB) varying levels finite parameters. assess stability nonlinear vibrations exhibited DEB actuator, present Poincaré maps phase-plane plots. results demonstrate that changes density lead transitions between quasi-periodic aperiodic vibrations. These findings an essential initial step toward design production actuators with diverse applications future technologies.

Wrinkles, with regular periodic patterns in thin elastomeric membranes, occur to relax in-plane compressive stresses through out-of-plane deformations. Existing studies on such wrinkling have primarily ignored the thermo-electro-magnetostrictive unequal-biaxial taut states, focusing instead equal-biaxial deformations of membranes. Soft actuators made electro-magneto-active (EMA) used mainly soft robotics, often exhibit a variety instabilities, which may adversely affect their performance and lead actuator failure. Conversely, fine-tuned wrinkles can be proactively specific applications that necessitate an intentional loading transformation dual responsiveness electromagnetic fields. This paper theoretically develops physics-based deformation model EMA incorporating classical tension field theory predict thresholds domains plane principal stretches. The solution is then experimentally verified for readily available membrane. In addition, analytical findings tie unanswered ideal remark deviations states biaxiality ratio unequal-biaxially deformed wrinkle appearance EMA-based smart
