Microgels have gained significant importance for the removal of pollutants owing to their stimulus-responsive behavior, high stability, and reusable capacity. However, despite these advantages, several hurdles need be overcome fully maximize potential as effective adsorbents eradicating various contaminants from environment, such metallic cations, organic compounds, anions, harmful gases, dyes. Therefore, a critical review on adsorption by microgels is needed. In this regard, presents latest developments in adsorptive properties microgels. The synthetic methods, architectural structures, behavior are explained detail. addition, explores factors that directly influence microgels, pH, feed composition, content pollutants, comonomers, agitation time, temperature, microgel dose, nature both adsorbates (pollutants) (microgels), medium, ionic strength. Various isotherms also explored together with kinetic aspects process provide comprehensive understanding.

Abstract In this work, we prepared AuNPs loaded polyurethane‐sodium alginate (Au‐PU‐ALg) composite polymers by casting and in‐situ reduction method. Successful fabrication of was confirmed UV–visible, Fourior transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning elcetron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive (EDX) analysis along with the change in color suspension from yellow to dark purple. Thermo‐gravimetric (TGA) also loading 7.44 % total nanocomposite contents. The catalytic activity Au‐PU‐ALg nanocomposites checked reducing Rhodamine B (RhB) as a model reaction. It seen that RhB successfully done presence NaBH 4 just 8 min value k app found 0.648 −1 . While for 0.0008, 0.00221, 0.0008 catalyst, polymer gel particles, respectively. Thus results show catalyst high compared controlled reactions. Complex mixture dyes such RhB, crystal violet (CV), Congo red (CR), polluted industrial wastewater become colorless 10 3 min, respectively on mixing agent. observed followed pseudo first order kinetic Langmuir Hinshelwood mechanism.
