Aromatic compounds are widely used in the fields of medicine, chemical industry, and food, with a considerable market size. Tyrosine, an aromatic amino acid, boasts not only wide range applications but also serves as valuable precursor for synthesizing diverse array high-value compounds. Amid growing concerns over environmental resource challenges, adoption green, clean, sustainable biotechnology producing is gaining increasing recognition viable alternative to traditional synthesis plant extraction methods. This article provides overview current status tyrosine biomanufacturing explores methods generating derivatives, including resveratrol, levodopa, p-coumaric caffeic zosteric tyrosol, hydroxytyrosol, tanshinol, naringenin, eriodictyol, salidroside, using primary raw material. Furthermore, this review examines challenges outlines future directions microbial fermentation production its derivatives.
