Abstract
Helical
polymer‐containing
bottlebrush
polymers
(BBPs)
are
a
special
and
fascinating
type
of
polymer.
They
possess
topology
contain
helical
as
main
chains
(MCs)
or
side
(SCs),
thereby
presenting
interesting
fantastic
properties,
such
chiral
amplification,
circularly
polarized
luminescence,
photonic
crystal,
so
on.
This
review
mainly
focuses
on
BBPs
containing
polypeptides,
polyacetylenes
(PAs),
polyisocyanides
(PIs).
Detailed
summarizations
severally
given
to
with
polypeptides
MCs
SCs.
Meanwhile,
comprising
PAs
fully
discussed.
What's
more,
consisted
PIs
SCs
described
separately.
In
addition,
other
briefly
introduced,
too.
The
authors
hope
this
will
motivate
more
interest
in
developing
complex
topologies
encourage
further
progress
functional
materials.

Synthetic
helical
polymers
have
gained
tremendous
attention
due
to
their
superior
efficiency
in
mimicking
the
complex
self‐assembly
“helix”
of
biological
systems.
Prolinate‐based
chiral
polyelectrolytes
bearing
chloride
counter
anion
(poly‐(L‐)‐Pro‐Cl)
is
circular
dichroism
(CD)
silent
and
exist
as
random
coils.
For
instance,
same
polymer
with
methoxide
(poly‐(L‐)‐Pro‐OMe)
shows
CD
response
preferred‐handed
sense.
Here
we
used
partial
exchange
a
simple
effective
technique
bring
induced
CD,
eventually
sense
poly‐(L‐)‐Pro‐Cl.

exchange,
