ABSTRACT Mechanically reliable photoluminescent bricks were developed by reinforcing polyurethane (PUR) with electrospun alumina nanofibers (EAN). Nanoparticles of rare‐earth aluminate (NRA) physically integrated into PUR to impart photoluminescence and photochromic capabilities. EAN was applied plastic bars as a agent improve their mechanical characteristics. Using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), NRA has diameters 40–180 nm. Both spectra colorimetric coordinates used verify that EAN@PUR is transparent undergoes greenish color shift when exposed UV light. An emission peak reported at 518 nm an excitation wavelength (375 nm) applied. The lower contents displayed fluorescence instantly reversible. At higher concentrations NRA, exhibited delayed reversibility persistent emission. electrospinning solution polyvinylpyrrolidone/aluminum chloride prepared the sol–gel technique, then calcination. scanning (SEM), ranging from 80 230 analyzed morphologically utilizing different analytical techniques. Increases in hydrophobicity protection observed concentration increased. Additionally, NRA‐containing demonstrated better scratch resistance than NRA‐free bricks.
