Although chitosan (CS) is used in many industries because of its low cost, biodegradability, nontoxic, antibacterial, and antioxidant qualities, it lacks sufficient mechanical barrier properties. Biodegradable polymers based on CS, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), starch (S) were prepared at various ratios (1/3/6 1/5/4) via a blending polymerization process the presence water as solvent glacial acetic acid catalyst. The obtained biodegradable characterized FTIR, TGA, SEM, tests. mixed with rice straw carbon black to study effects physicomechanical properties polymer films, including viscosity, tensile strength, elongation, contact angle. incorporation into blend significantly enhanced physical while also boosting their biodegradability by 36% 15%, respectively, due biological activity. Notably, CS/PVA/S ratio 1/5/4, combined straw, emerged standout performer. It exhibited superior strength shortest degradation time, outperforming blended 1/3/6 black. According these findings, became more soluble temperature increased from 30 45 °C.

ABSTRACT Soil ecosystems consist of diverse microbial communities with great potential for ecological and biotechnological applications. These encounter various abiotic stresses, which expedite the activation transient overexpression heat shock proteins (HSPs). In present study, a soil bacterium was isolated identified as Bacillus licheniformis strain PSK.A1, its growth parameters were optimized before exposing it to heat, salt, pH, antibiotic stress conditions. Comparative protein expression analyzed using SDS‐PAGE, stabilization via aggregation assays, survival through single spot dilution colony‐counting methods under The pre‐treatment short dosage showed endured overall tolerance lethal conditions, evidenced by moderately enhanced total soluble intracellular content, better stabilization, comparatively over‐expressed HSPs, relatively cell survival. findings highlighted that cells grown optimal conditions more susceptible environments than stressed cells, their linked 20 distinct HSPs 17–91 kD. insights offer developing strategies enhance resilience applications including bacterial bioprocessing, bio‐remediation, infectious disease management.

ABSTRACT The antioxidant composite film was prepared by blending the pericarp extract of Chinese litchi variety “Nuomici” (NLPE) with chitosan (CS). study examined impact various NLPE concentrations (0%, 2%, 5%, 10%, and 15% [w/v]) on mechanical properties, water vapor barrier, UV–visible light properties CS film. results indicated that films displayed superior UV‐barrier accompanied lower permeability coefficients, content, elongation at break, tensile strength, compared to pure Fourier‐transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, SEM, x‐ray diffraction were employed analyze hydrogen bonding between NLPE, revealing their excellent compatibility. Furthermore, fruit preservation studies demonstrated containing 5% (w/v) retarded weight loss shrinkage green grapes more effectively than both control group without packaging. Therefore, CS/NLPE holds significant potential value for practical applications in food packaging, while also offering a novel approach reuse waste resources sustainable
