Straw mulching incorporation has a wide range of environmental benefits that make it an effective practice for sustainable agro-ecosystem in the semi-arid regions. There is urgent need to improve 13C-photosynthates distribution, water use efficiency (WUE) and maize canopy characteristics under diverse tillage practices with straw mulched management strategies intensification production. The field study consists three systems (RT: rotary tillage; CT, conventional MT, minimum tillage) straws (NS: no mulch; SS: mulch on soil surface; SI: incorporated into soil) were assessed ridge-furrow rainfall harvesting system. Our results showed significantly reduces ET rate (11%), leaf rolling index; as result considerably improves LAI, LEI, N accumulation, above ground biomass various growth stages. RTSI treatment improved storage, organic carbon (52%, SOC), C storage (39%, SCS), NPK nutrients uptake (70%, 62%, 69%) than observed rest all other treatments, respectively. balance, grain yield (53%), (37%), WUEg (51%), WUEb (35%), uptake, mitigating depletion MTNS treatment. Although RTSS can achieve optimal short term, great potential improving stability, characteristics, WUE, contributing intensive corn production agricultural ecosystems

The biodegradable film, as an ideal substitute for plastic has broad application prospects. However, it is uncertain in maize actual evapotranspiration (ETac) components, yield, and water use efficiency (WUE) of films during the different rainfall seasons. Therefore, a 4-year field trial with three mulching patterns (FNM: flat planting non-mulching, RPM: ridge-furrow film mulching, RBM: mulching) two N-fertilization levels (0 180 kg N ha–1) was conducted. results showed that machine-learning models could accurately estimate ETac its partitioning, random forest artificial neural networks had highest accuracy least input variables after optimization. The cultivation of Citrus sinensis Osbeck, the fruit with largest planting scale and yield in Western Hubei Province China, currently faces significant challenges related to low quality water use efficiency (WUE). This study aims enhance citrus quality, yield, WUE region by investigating effects deficit film mulching on 10-year-old trees. From 2019 2021, three levels (Light: 80%-90%, Moderate:70%-80%, Severe: 60%-70% field capacity) four treatments (A: Japanese film, B: Dupont C: Chinese no mulching) were implemented at young stage. Full irrigation (90%-100% was used as control. light reflectance films A, B, C increased 43.7%, 44.6%, 6.3% respectively sunny days compared mulching. Films A B exhibited 2.2 times higher reflectivity than C. Moderate - (M-A) moderate film(M-B) demonstrated greatest improvement quality. Water combined resulted an average increase 10.90%-20.35% full irrigation, 8.96%-16.52% Mulching led 3.09%-16.48% interaction between significantly influenced both WUE. 2019-2021, M-A M-B yielded highest production, consistently demonstrating superior performance. Therefore, better would be a combination treatments, which correspond soil moisture 70% θf -80% during period under B. expected outcome this may offer scientific basis technical support for management Hubei, China.

Abstract Climate change is an impact caused by global warming. The phenomenon due to climate El Nino, which affects a long dry season. Central Java area heavily affected drought one of Wonogiri Regency, has the potential cause crop failures, forest fires, and decreased water availability, can be detrimental. Drought analysis was carried out estimate distribution index in Slogohimo District, Regency. method used Normalized Difference Index (NDDI), combines vegetation density wetting level using Landsat imagery—the NDDI transformation on scale ranging from very low high (severe). results show that classified as class. Still, broadest low. tendency for occur spread east south. This research suggests application organic mulch improvement reduce drought.
