In the context of agricultural sustainability and necessity for food security, using nano pesticides as an innovative technology represents alternative with good potential to overcome drawbacks classical pesticides. This work provides a general overview main aspects in area nano-pesticides focus on Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs). Although its early infancy, research performed so far indicated that compared pesticides, MOF-based show improved performance, controlled sustained active ingredient release targeted delivery. Moreover, flexibility design capability modification hybridization indicate MOFs promising candidates further improvements. Nevertheless, since long-term toxic effects are not yet fully understood, additional studies focusing impact individual components overall nano-system required determine if envisioned can be reached.

Abstract: The emergence of multidrug-resistant bacteria has been deemed a global crisis that affects humans worldwide. Novel anti-infection strategies are desperately needed because the limitations conventional antibiotics. However, increasing gap between clinical demand and antimicrobial treatment innovation, as well membrane permeability obstacle especially in gram-negative fearfully restrict reformation antibacterial strategy. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have advantages adjustable apertures, high drug-loading rates, tailorable structures, superior biocompatibilities, enabling their utilization drug delivery carriers biotherapy applications. Additionally, metal elements MOFs usually bactericidal. This article provides review state-of-The-art design, underlying mechanisms applications MOF- MOF-based materials. In addition, existing problems future perspectives materials also discussed. Keywords: MOF, nanomaterial, antibacterial, mechanism, application
