Tree height and vertical forest structure are important attributes in forestry, but their traditional measurement or assessment the field is expensive, time-consuming, often inaccurate. One of main advantages using remote sensing data to estimate ability obtain accurate for larger areas a more time- cost-efficient manner. Temporal changes also estimating analysing tree heights, many countries, national airborne laser scanning (ALS) surveys have been conducted either only once at specific, longer intervals, whereas aerial arranged cycles with shorter intervals. In this study, we reviewed all freely available describing three-dimensional structures Slovenia compared them measurements an area dominated by uneven-aged forests. The comparison ALS digital photogrammetry (DAP) revealed that provide better estimates dominant structural diversity, cyclic DAP data, they still useful due temporally dense data. Up-to-date very management study resilience resistance disturbance. Based on (2013 2023) maximum heights statistically significantly higher forests than mature, even-aged Canopy diversity (CHD) information, derived from lidar has proven be suitable distinguishing between CHDALS 2023 was 1.64, CHDCAS 2022 1.38 stands, which were stands.
