Soil acidification in tea (Camellia sinensis L.) gardens leads to nutrient depletion, inhibits the growth of plants, reduces quality, and activates heavy metals such as cadmium (Cd) soil. To clarify impact soil pH under acidified conditions on plant physiology key genes involved Cd2+ transport this study planted 'Longjing 43' different levels (4.0, 4.5, 5.5) Cd concentrations (T1 = 0 mg L-1, T2 0.01 T3 0.05 T4 0.2 L-1). The results showed that concentration plants from highest lowest was root > stem mature leaves young leaves. Under T4, with decreasing pH, total chlorophyll significantly decreased, Fv/Fm stomatal aperture reduced, net photosynthetic rate transpiration decreased. In treatment at 4.0, contents free proline malondialdehyde were both highest, while superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase micrococcus lysodeiktic (CAT) a significant negative correlation pH. By screening genome data, nine CsHMAs metal ion identified. qRT-PCR indicated expression level CsHMA2 tea, localized cell membrane. transient overexpression enhanced ability Cd2+, whereas silencing weakened ability. These findings not only help understand how adapts regulates its physiological processes acidic environments but also provide an important theoretical basis technical guidance for improvement gardens, control pollution, optimization quality.

China′s ancient tea gardens boast a rich resource, and their unique environmental conditions cause quality differences. In this study, flavor components aroma compounds of fresh leaves from four Dancong (Zimao (ZMF), Baixiang (BX), Xialiao (HSK), Da′an (DAF)) at different altitudes were determined by HPLC GC–MS then correlated with elemental contents. The results showed that low-altitude ZMF had higher caffeine content (5.21%) astringency index (0.82) compared to other high-altitude gardens, which led more bitter taste astringent sensation. Fresh linalool (151.31 μg/kg) geraniol (61.09 than those gardens. Correlation analysis the indexes strong correlation element N (correlation coefficient: 0.74, 0.48); volatile significant positive or negative correlations various contents, among coefficient between Al was −0.83 (p < 0.001). lower Al, Si, Hf content, may bitterness differences in teas altitude study further provide guidance for scientific management
