The soybean mosaic disease-caused by the virus (SMV)-significantly impacts quality and yield. Among its various strains, SMV-SC7 is prevalent in China. Therefore, rapid accurate diagnosis deemed critical to mitigate spread of SMV-SC7. In this study, a simple magnetic bead-based RNA extraction method was optimized. Furthermore, reverse-transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) assay that requires no specialized equipment such as PCR Amplifier proposed, employing lateral flow device (LFD) for visual interpretation RT-LAMP-LFD approach facilitated specificity testing Moreover, limit detection (LOD) low 10-5 ng (2.4 copies). sensitivity 10-fold higher than colorimetric RT-LAMP method. 194 field samples tested, had accuracy 98.45% comparison RT-qPCR. conclusion, exhibited high specificity, sensitivity, rapidity, enabling economical portable providing technical support identify SMV-SC7-infected soybeans.
