Fluorescent Carbon Quantum Dots (CQDs) are being used in medical applications, particularly theranostics. These have been gaining more attention lately due to their potential as an effective replacement for hazardous synthetic organic dyes a variety of biomedical including live cell imaging and diagnostics. In this study, highly fluorescent by one pot microwave based green route with size less than 10 nm, was prepared from commercially available almond resin, Prunus dulcis conjugated honey additional reagent surface functionalization. They exhibit deep blue emission on excitation at 350 nm elevated quantum yield 61%. possess atomic nature basic features such high photo-stability, varying fluorescence, greater biocompatibility, better water solubility. labels faster cellular invagination without disturbing the stability. The CQDs present capacity multi-coloration visualizing fine architecture nucleus naming, nuclear membrane nucleolus, which is linked varied, structures amphiphilic property higher positive charges. characteristics minimal invasion made carbon dots become spotlight can be alternatives fluorescence- related cell-imaging. intriguing fact about approach that it opens possibility combining therapy diagnostics into unit, alter how some diseases handled and, turn, transform field healthcare.
