Piper nigrum L. (PN), which contains various bioactive compounds, is a plant with homologous medicine and food. Sleep deprivation (SD) profoundly impacts cognitive function emotional health. However, the mechanisms by PN improves depressive mood induced SD remain unclear. The search for new substances with antibacterial activities has become an urgent necessity due to the resistance of many bacteria medical importance antibiotics.
