Black oilseed crops are rich in diverse phenolic compounds and have excellent antioxidant activities, as reported traditional Chinese medicine. Testa (seed coat) peeled seeds (cotyledon, embryo, other structures) the seed's crucial components, contributing to variation phytonutrient, phenol content, bioactive component, protective pharmacological effects. However, comprehensive comparative information on total phenol, flavonoid, antioxidant, metabolic profiles black seed testa sesame, soybean, peanut, rapeseed is rare. Here, we investigated profiles, contents, activities of four crop testas seeds. This study revealed that has higher than A 1847 metabolites were identified across all samples categorized into 17 major classes: flavonoids (20.02%), acids (15.15%), lipids (11.47%), amino derivatives (9.36%), alkaloids (7.47%), organic (5.79%), terpenoids (5.68%), lignans (5.57%), saccharides (4.27%), nucleotides (4.17%) among top ten. Primary class such acids, saccharides, vitamins testa, signifying role energy reservoirs nutritive potential. flavonoids, coumarins, chromones, lignans, terpenoids, tannins, abundant testa. Interestingly, diversity content secondary more each crop, explaining their potential for bioactivity, activity, The bioactivity may be associated with phytochemical composition alkaloids, lipids, saccharides. Therefore, according our results, offer nutritional value, medicinal properties. provides insights variations composition, activity further application oilseeds food products maximize benefits.
