The thermal decomposition of a number analogues hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitan (CL-20), in where one or more N-nitro groups have been replaced by another explosophoric unit (diverse N-alkylnitramine N- trinitroethyl), has studied methods isothermal and non-isothermal kinetics. It was found that replacing the group with even thermally stable substituent leads to decrease stability nitrated hexaazaisowurtzitane framework. suggested distorts symmetry strained cage, which affects strength N-NO2 bond. When less than parent CL-20 is installed, initial stage degradation determined kinetics this substituent. One objects study, 4,10-dinitro-2,6,8,12-tetrakis(2,2,2-trinitroethyl) -2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane (8), synthesized for first time; it fully characterized also confirmed X-ray structural data.

The creation of novel energetic polymers for future advanced solid composite propellants and gunpowder is an urgent area modern research. A simple effective waste-free cycloaddition reaction between dialkyne diazide comonomers, both bearing nitramine groups, the synthesis polymer containing explosophoric units in chain has been described. Neither solvent nor catalyst required production this polymer, comonomers used are readily available, product does not need any purification, and, importantly, protocol scales well. resulting (C1Z1, C14H22N12O8)n, was comprehensively characterized by spectral physico-chemical methods. Compatibility with plasticizers (NG, DNDEG, DANPE), thermochemical characteristics combustion features indicate prospects target C1Z1 (density, ρ = 1.484 g cm−3; onset temperatures 230°C; positive enthalpy formation, ΔHf0 +636 kJ kg−1; burning rate at 10 MPa 9.5 mm s−1) as a binder base materials. Comparison nitrocellulose (NC) their compositions revealed advantages C1Z1.

Here, we examined an acid-catalyzed between benzyl carbamate and glyoxal a ratio 2:1 range polar protic aprotic solvents, discovered new occurring during the cascade with as well several processes hindering caged compounds. More specifically, cyclic compound, N,N′-bis(carbobenzoxy)-3,6-diamino-1,4-dioxane-2,5-diol, was found form at early stage under low acidity conditions. this compound governed by easier alcohol groups compared amide ones. intermediates, N,N′-bis(carbobenzoxy)ethan-1,2-diol, N,N′,N″-tris(carbobenzoxy)ethanol, N,N′,N″,N‴-tetrakis(carbobenzoxy)ethan, were obtained higher acidity. A solvents identified: those that react carbamate, promote progress side processes, precipitation intermediates. few byproducts isolated identified. It DMSO exhibits strong deactivating ability, while CH3CN activating ability towards glyoxal.
