Summary One recent trend in the food industry is using natural antioxidants and antimicrobials as additives for developing multi‐functional packaging. In this study, phenolic compounds from patawa (PEP), a neglected Amazon palm tree, were extracted encapsulated nanoparticles based on acetylated cashew gum polysaccharide (acCGP) chitosan (CS) nanoprecipitation technique. The primary objective was to evaluate antioxidant activity antibacterial properties of PEP acCGP/CS@PEP. Results HPLC‐MS showed that mainly composed epicatechin, naringenin rutin. acCGP/CS@PEP spheric smooth microstructure, observed with 40.1% encapsulation into nanoparticles. main phenolics luteolin, quercetin epicatechin. Also, FTIR spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction differential scanning calorimetry analyses evidenced success encapsulation. has DPPH scavenging 45‐fold higher than unencapsulated PEP, 5‐fold ferric reducing power 20‐fold potential against ABTS. Similarly, had Escherichia coli (MIC = 2.24 mg mL −1 ), Salmonella enteritis 4.48 ) Staphylococcus aureus ). Analysis by SEM potent destructive effect disruption bacterial cell membrane liberation cytoplasmic content. These findings demonstrated could be efficiently acCGP/CS nanoparticles, strategy improve efficiency bioactive compound active

Intelligent and antimicrobial packaging technologies are transforming meat preservation by enhancing food safety, enabling real-time quality monitoring, extending shelf life. This review critically examines advancements in intelligent systems, including radio frequency identification (RFID), gas sensors, time-temperature indicators (TTIs), colorimetric for continuous freshness assessment. A key focus is natural compound-based chromogenic indicators, which establish visual spoilage detection via distinct color transitions. Concurrently, systems integrating inorganic compounds, organic bioactive agents, antimicrobials effectively inhibit microbial growth. Strategic incorporation of these agents into polymeric matrices enhances supported standardized evaluation protocols regulatory compliance assurance. Future research should prioritize optimizing sensitivity, cost-efficiency, sustainability, alongside developing biodegradable materials to balance safety with reduced environmental impact, advancing sustainable supply chains.

ABSTRACT The growing demand for efficient, accurate, and affordable methods of evaluating food safety has led scholars to look into cutting‐edge analytical techniques. Carbon quantum dots, or CQDs, have shown great promise in the real‐time detection measurement heavy metals, herbicides, pathogens, among other pollutants. These are newly discovered blooming carbon nanoparticles that smaller than 10 nm. several techniques creating CQDs from different sources been compiled this review paper. manufacture industry both significant advancements apparent challenges. Although waste can be used create research is still ongoing determine how feasible scalable these processes are. Despite fact demonstrated potential enhancing quality, further studies essential optimize their application industry. This will very helpful researchers professionals who want develop fight food‐related issues.
