Abstract Hypertension is a chronic disease that poses significant threat to human health worldwide. The ratio of fasting blood sugar high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (GHR) an emerging biomarker associated with various diseases. However, the relationship between GHR and hypertension was still unclear. This study aimed explore correlation high pressure. conducted comprehensive cross-sectional analysis based on data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2003 2018. used multivariate logistic regression model evaluate hypertension. It also verified robustness results through subgroup analysis. In addition, restricted cubic splines (RCS) analyze possible nonlinear hypertension, as well potential threshold effects. Finally, evaluated predictive efficiency for receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve showed that, without adjusting confounding factors, positively correlated (OR = 1.20, 95%CI 1.17–1.22, P < 0.001). After fully factors (including gender, race, age, body mass index, smoking status, alcohol consumption, diabetes, stroke, total cholesterol, creatinine), positive existed 1.06, 1.03–1.09, Subgroup further association remained consistent across different subgroups. ROC revealed turning point 2.36. Furthermore, indicated demonstrated in univariate multivariate-adjusted models. A had serve biological marker facilitating its prevention diagnosis.
