This study examines the interconnectedness between central bank digital currencies (CBDC) index, assets and financial stability. First, we use CBDC index as a measure of stability examine its connectedness with other known measures used in literature. This study investigates asymmetric effects oil, market volatility sentiment, economic policy uncertainty, geopolitical risk on in a nonparametric quantile-on-quantile regression framework. sample used for empirical analysis spans from January 03, 2013, October 21, 2022 includes ten (canola, cocoa, coffee, corn, feeder cattle, lean hogs, live orange juice, sugar, wheat), crude oil implied (OVX), sentiment (VIX), US (USEPU), (GPR). findings suggest that fails serve as either hedge or safe-haven commodities. Meanwhile, OVX VIX potential hedges against shocks. At elevated levels USEPU, reveal only weak hedging capacities USEPU-driven downside risks mostly act just diversifiers effects. However, they could crystallisations risks. These are important effective regulation policies, management, portfolio decisions across bullish, bearish, normal conditions.
