Tannic acid (TA) is the primary bioactive component in gallnut (Galla chinensis) and has exhibited anticancer effects. However, mechanism of its anti-cancer activity nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) remains unclear. This research aims to explore underlying TA treatment cancer using network pharmacology, molecular docking experimental validation. Firstly, targets NPC were predicted collected through databases, intersection identified. Subsequently, protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis, Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment, Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment dynamics (MD) simulation conducted uncover potential mechanisms NPC. Finally, vitro experiments utilized verify with The results pharmacology revealed 42 between NPC-related TA-related targets. phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT) signaling was identified as main target against Additionally, MD confirmed closely binding affinities AKT1. Furthermore, demonstrated that exerts by targeting PI3K/AKT pathway, leading suppression cell proliferation. a promising therapeutic candidate for pathway. These provide insights into clinical application TA, particularly when considered combination other modalities.

Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) significantly contribute to health issues by interfering with hormonal functions. Bisphenol A (BPA), a prominent EDC, is extensively utilized as monomer and plasticizer in producing polycarbonate plastic epoxy resins, making it one of the highest-demanded commercial use. This major component used products, including bottles, containers, storage items, food serving ware. Exposure BPA happens through oral, respiratory, transdermal routes eye contact. As an disrupts binding, leading various problems, such cancers, reproductive abnormalities, metabolic syndrome, immune dysfunction, neurological effects, cardiovascular respiratory issues, obesity. mimics hormone estrogen but exhibits weak affinity for receptors. binding triggers multiple cell death pathways, necroptosis, pyroptosis, apoptosis, ferroptosis, autophagy, across different types. Numerous clinical, in-vitro, in-vivo experiments have demonstrated that exposure results unfavorable effects. review highlights mechanisms pathways initiated associated negative consequences. To assess the impact of tannic acid (TA) on hepatic health Chinese soft-shelled turtle, individuals were fed diets containing 0 (CG), 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 g/kg TA for 60 days (0 hps). Afterwards, turtles challenged with 15 °C cold stress 24 h (24 hps) then recovered to 28 (48 The results indicated that has a significant toxic effect after 60-day administration. T-SOD, CAT, GSH-Px, T-AOC activities in TA2 increased at hps (p < 0.05) compared CG. Similarly, Sod1, Sod2, Cat, Gsh-px3, Gsh-px4 mRNA levels higher than other four groups 0.05). histology data showed induced injuries liver temperature fluctuation, whereas 2 effectively attenuated injuries. A total 202 differentially expressed metabolites (DEMs) CG vs. 115 DEMs LTCG LTTA2 separately detected by metabolome. cephalosporin C, protoporphyrin, bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, 2-acetamidoethylphosphonat, verbasosid, norcocain, obvious TA2. Furthermore, valienone 7-phosphate, 5-HETE, pregnanetriolone, 4-keto-anhydrotetracyclin, dephospho-CoA, lysoPC(18:4(6Z,9Z,12Z,15Z)/0:0) top LTTA2. "adipocytokine signaling pathway" "AMPK key pathways enriched TA2, while "fatty biosynthesis", "steroid "linoleic metabolism" most abundant Generally, this research could protect from fluctuations improving antioxidant capacity, reducing histological injuries, regulating lipid-related pathways.
