Abstract Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of many economies. In today's world VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity), SMEs face diverse challenges to survive stay competitive. must prepare themselves for these by practicing foresight. However, foresight, especially corporate has been conceptualized researched in context large corporations. Applying foresight is therefore complicated question how implement given their specific requirements limitations. This article provides an overview on literature application is, along with a summary extent which conduct from organizational individual perspective. ABSTRACT How can we facilitate collective sensemaking and reframing processes to foster futures thinking? This paper explores the use of Responsible Futuring, a design‐oriented approach, in learning trajectory for professionals facing complex digital transformations their organizations. Futuring supports across four cognitive experiential levels: (1) understanding values, (2) imagining, (3) tangibilizing, (4) introspecting. While enabled participants incorporate diverse perspectives embrace long‐term thinking, our findings revealed tendency towards solutionism, where prematurely focused on specific solutions rather than exploring broader, values‐driven futures. In response, propose critical areas attention, including iterative guidance redirect focus broader perspectives, zooming mitigate risks actor stakeholder inclusion/exclusion, clearly defined goals speculative activities align with objectives, grounding everyday realities enhance relevance. By addressing these areas, offer insights researchers practitioners aiming integrate futures‐oriented into lifelong trajectories communities navigating transformations.
