The Neoproterozoic (>1160 to ~540 Ma) sedimentary record of the Tandilia System is reorganized into eight depositional sequences based on a detailed review published sources and new lithological observations. main compositional attributes compiled from studied units were used indicate changes in lithology regarding their origin. Epiclastic sections reveal supply through succession. Basement detritus was dominant during deposition basal turning drastically volcanic affinity dominance. carbonate sections, dominated by intra-basinal components, deposited periods rare or restricted detrital input. older, described as cap-dolostone, related bio-induced dolomite precipitation under deglacial interglacial context. younger, ramp, reveals have been built microbial activity adding high levels oxygen seawater correlated global oxygenation event. Compositional recorded shallow marine deposits could intricately linked tectonic paleo-relief configurations, favoring basin, followed relevant episodic biogeochemical changes. This study shows that basinal-components progression controlled paleoclimate paleoenvironments associated extensive interval between rupture Rodinia Gondwana paleogeographical framework.

The Nanhua Basin of South China recorded complete Cryogenian stratigraphic sequence from the Sturtian Glaciation (~717–660 Ma) to Marinoan (~654–635 Ma). interglacial Datangpo Fm in is divided into two members, and first member consists Mn-carbonate unit overlying black shale unit, containing a series large superlarge manganese deposits. metallogenic process deposits not clear, Mn-carbonates formed through precursor Mn-oxide/oxyhydroxide reduction or directly precipitated an anoxic water column. Moreover, redox conditions deep during precipitation are also controversial. In this study, high-resolution nitrogen contents (TN), isotope compositions, carbon compositions organic inorganic matter analyzed. δ 15 N values (+1.53‰ +5.26‰, mean +3.36‰) higher than those (−3.74‰ +3.54‰, +0.89‰). Mn show negative relationship with TN but positive implying that formation related variations. relatively indicated oxic conditions, NH 4 + can be released partially oxidized mineralization matter, resulting residual N-enriched being transferred clay minerals. Meanwhile, lower which primary signals. characterized by 13 C carb (−11.17‰ −5.22‰, −8.30‰), org , contents, excursions were degradation formation. findings study metallogenesis was constrained mainly interval basin. cycling provide new insights geochemical after Glaciation.
