Long-term treatment with bisphosphonates is accompanied by an increased risk of medication-related osteonecrosis the jaw (MRONJ). Currently, no clinically useful biomarkers for predictive diagnosis MRONJ are available. To investigate potential key proteins involved in pathogenesis MRONJ, a proteomic LC-MS/MS analysis saliva was performed. Differentially expressed (DEPs) were analyzed using BiNGO, ClueGO, cytoHubba, MCODE, KEGG, and ReactomeFI software packages Cytoscape platforms. In total, 1545 DEPs identified, including 43 up- 11 down-regulated 1.5-fold cut-off value

Abstract Background The ratio of non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol to high-density (NHHR) represents a novel lipid marker. This study investigated the association between NHHR and lumbar bone mineral density (BMD) in general American population. Methods Data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 2011 2018 were used this study, including 10,879 participants aged 20–59 years. To investigate relationship BMD, we employed multivariate linear regression models along with stratified analyses. Additionally, applied fitted smoothing curves threshold effect analyses explore nonlinear BMD. Results After adjusting for covariates, weighted multivariable indicated significant negative (β = -0.006, 95% CI: -0.008 -0.003, P < 0.001). Stratified subgroup based on age, gender, race, BMI, hypertension, diabetes consistently demonstrated inverse males -0.005, -0.002, 0.002) females -0.007, -0.011 0.001); non-Hispanic whites -0.009 -0.001, 0.015), blacks -0.010, -0.017 -0.004, 0.003), other races 20–29 years 0.022) 40–49 -0.008, -0.013 individuals BMI 25 -0.014 0.010) those 30 -0.011, -0.015 For total cohort, races, 30–39 years, was examined inflection points identified at values 4.29, 5.26, 2.91, respectively. Conclusions US adults 20 59, our research an observed across demonstrating Consequently, could serve as sensitive biomarker prevention osteoporosis or osteopenia.

Non-unions are fractures that do not heal properly, resulting in a false joint formation at the fracture site. This condition leads to major health issues and imposes burden on national healthcare systems. The etiology of non-unions is still fully understood; therefore, we aimed identify potential systemic factors may contribute their formation.
