Land use and land cover (LULC) changed drastically throughout the time frame, today there are various factors which is responsible for changes in agricultural use, anthropogenic natural both have reasons it, like infrastructural development, activities, recreation activities play major role, forest fires, climate change mainly responsible, The investigation studies modifications LULC, More than two decades, researcher prepared LULC maps with assistance of multi-spectral remote sensing Landsat 5 series data used preparing 2001 2011, 2021 map created Sentinel 2 data, decades gives picture about variations taken as base year study, mountainous regions Tehri Garhwal different from plain regions, cropping pattern different, productivity Seven types (Crop land, Built Up Area, Forest cover, Water, Range Snow Cover bare Grounds) built-up areas steadily increased during past 20 years, demonstrating substantial development urbanization, Crop consistently declining, snow continuing decline to indicating signifies a move away conventional uses, Planning urbanization must integrate economic expansion preservation environment., addressing reduction its ripple consequences requires mitigation well adaptation measures, such encouraging sustainable behaviours renewable energy.
