Abstract While the motivations behind rural mobility have been extensively studied, factors determining immobility are less discussed. In this study, we applied a quantitative and qualitative methodology built on theoretical framework based literature to analyse primary secondary data answer following question: What play role in someone from relatively disadvantaged area deciding favour of immobility? Our results showed that those who remained region surveyed had resources build life elsewhere, but family ties, property, or fact way they desired city could not be realised bound them their homeland.
