ABSTRACT The transition to Industry 5.0, which integrates human‐centric approaches with advanced technologies, has the potential drive circular supply chain practices, addressing critical environmental challenges such as waste reduction, resource optimization, and carbon footprint minimization. Despite its promise, impact of 5.0‐enabled practices on achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) remains underexplored in existing literature, particularly context developing countries. This research bridges this gap by examining how these can contribute specific SDGs. employs a hybrid framework that combines Spherical Fuzzy Stepwise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SF‐SWARA) Multi‐Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison (SF‐MABAC). SF‐SWARA evaluates importance SF‐MABAC ranks SDGs influenced their implementation. Applying Indian textile industry, study identifies cradle‐to‐cradle design optimization priority practice demonstrates significant reductions generation (SDG 12.5) improvements urban sustainability through enhanced air quality management 11.6). findings highlight actionable pathways for integrating into chains, offering insights policymakers industry stakeholders aiming advance goals.

Purpose The textile and apparel (T&A) industry is one of the most prominent waste-generating industries criticized for environmental social sustainability. This research work aims to demonstrate crucial enablers implementing circular economy (CE) in Bangladesh’s T&A industry. Design/methodology/approach followed a purposive sampling method three stages data collection from small expert focus group. study employed two integrated Fuzzy methods: fuzzy total interpretive structural modeling (TISM) decision-making trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) evaluate CE enablers. Findings TISM model discovered that stakeholder involvement impactful enabler practices Bangladeshi Consequently, DEMATEL revealed causal relationships among identified effective reverse logistic process as enabler. Originality/value For first time, this attempts ascertain inter-influential relationship precisely Bangladesh. influential were illustrated modelling-based hierarchical framework demonstrated degree effect diagram.
