Abstract The occurrence of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in almost every sphere life and their notorious effects have been a global concern for quite few decades, regardless the fact that notable conventions banned standard POPs. Control measures numerous technologies are being researched, but still exhibits challenges to completely curb these chemicals’ destructive effects. negative impacts POPs terms environmental human health growing concern. In recent years, studies proven list keeps increasing, concentrations levels widely varied region wise. current review presents sources classification Furthermore, deleterious consequences due on environment illustrated. A potential methodologies can be implemented control hazardous discussed.

Water is the founding fundamental of life and hence a basic need life. However, due to ever-rising population, industrialization has emerged as global issue. This problem notably escalated in developing countries. Their citizens face problems such floods, drought, poor water quality. Due quality sanitation problems, most health issues are caused by water-borne infections. In countries, untreated wastewater released into bodies or ground, thereby polluting natural resources. lack sufficient infrastructure, planning, funding, technologies overcome these problems. Additionally, urbanization megacities countries highly accelerated, but it disproportionate required resources for treating wastewater. this biological oxygen demand (BOD): chemical (COD) ratio increasing exponentially compared developed ones. Spreading awareness, education supporting relevant research, making stringent rules industries can alone solve

Metakaolin is a commonly used aluminosilicate material for the synthesis of geopolymer based adsorbent. However, it presents characteristics that restrict its uses such as weak rheological properties brought on by plate-like structure, processing challenges, high water demand and quick hydration reaction. Industrial waste, other hand, contains variety components potential source material. Geopolymer adsorbent synthesized utilizing industrial waste wide range elements offer better ion-exchangeability increase active sites surface geopolymer. limited studies focused heavy metal adsorption in wastewater treatment. Therefore, this paper reviews raw materials This would help development low cost has great adsorption, which could deliver double benefit both management

Semiconductors based on transition metal oxides represent an important class of materials used in emerging technologies. For this, the performance these strongly depends size and morphology particles, surface charge characteristics, presence bulk defects that are influenced by synthesis method experimental conditions prepared. In this context, present review aims to report importance choosing methods modify structural, morphological, electronic characteristics semiconductors, more specifically, tin oxide (SnO2), since parameters may be a determinant for better various applications, including photocatalysis. SnO2 is n-type semiconductor with band gap between 3.6 4.0 eV, whose intrinsic responsible its electrical conductivity, good optical high thermal stability, other qualities. Such have provided excellent results advanced oxidative processes, i.e., heterogeneous photocatalysis applications. This process involves semiconductors production hydroxyl radicals via activation light absorption, it considered as promising technology domestic-industrial wastewater treatment. our article, we focused photodegradation different organic dyes types persistent pollutants using SnO2-based photocatalysts, how efficiency can impacted employed prepare them.
