Urban mobility has been dominated by motorized vehicles, posing many challenges related to the environment, citizens' health and safety, traffic. Pedestrianization (car-free streets) is one of practical strategies reduce car dependency, promote active transportation, make cities liveable. However, there often opposition pedestrianization. This study aimed identify opponents pedestrianization in Montreal, Canada, through a cluster analysis. Hence, an online survey was designed administered. Streets play a crucial role in shaping urban soundscapes, influencing individual wellbeing and sustainability. Although soundscapes have been widely studied, research focusing on street remains limited. This scoping review aims to provide comprehensive analysis of the main themes methodologies used recent soundscape literature. Scopus ScienceDirect databases were searched for journal articles conference papers with keywords “street sound”. The included published English between 2000 2025. selected studies focused outdoor environments while offering insights into streetscape features. Articles that did not focus perception environment or report sample size excluded, resulting 16 final review.
