The present work presents a literature review of solar-driven adsorption desalination systems (ADS) from the perspective hybrid systems, materials, and system configurations. evaluation criteria were based on daily water production rate (SDWP), gain output ratio, coefficient performance (COP), specific cooling power (SCP) dual-cooling systems. Recommendations for effective that require further research development to increase productivity enhance are also mentioned. First, concerning adding an ejector cycle showed significant improvement in SDWP, reaching 40 m3/ton per day (TPD). In comparison, using two ejectors ADS integrated with HDH reached 83.1 m3/TPD at cost estimated 1.49 $/m3. Secondly, configurations, wire wound finned tube heat exchanger achieved high performance. SCP, COP 23.5 m3/TPD, 682 W/kg, 0.32, respectively. Thirdly, results promising adsorbent materials range solar energy temperatures, top them was sodium polyacrylate (SP)/CaCl2, where SDWP about 45 0.67, respectively, while 3.8 Finally, it recommended introduce 2D adsorbents improve properties exchangers 3D structures overall transfer ADS.

Abstract The present study describes the use of micro‐nanobubbles (MNBs) as an easy‐to‐use method for delaying scaling in membrane distillation (MD) while treating highly concentrated saline feed (10 wt.%). hydrodynamic flow conditions with MNBs are enhanced compared to traditional gas bubbling MD. Specifically, air cushion is formed between surface and bulk, limiting deposition solid particles on surface. Also, turbulence created by reduces fouling. findings MD performance analysis showed that, absence nanobubbles, considerable occurred during treatment high‐salinity feed, which significantly decreased distillate flux 70% after 20 h. one‐time incorporation NBs into reduced salt precipitation or fouling polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) start drop preventing wetting, thus improving performance. For nanobubble‐assisted MD, only measured h operation was 57% under similar input concentration operating parameters.
