Among numerous oil-water separation materials, coalescence materials have received widespread attention. In this work, we prepared a lotus leaf-shaped Janus coalescing material by physically mixing polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) first, pressing it into sheets, then single-face hydrophilic modifying chemical oxidation method, followed leaf shape. Finally, holes were punched at the upper lower sides of to let oil drops pass through freely, greatly reducing time for droplets float. The shape leaves could provide more opportunities collide coalesce. had asymmetric wettability, with specific surfaces that oleophilic on one hand other. adhered side material, coalesced grew, floated up passed sheet layer until they reached collecting port realize separation. structural parameters progressively optimized. obtained exhibited high efficiency 99.40 ± 0.5% good stability during 48 h continuous separation, which provided reference development efficient materials.
