Abstract Natural fiber-reinforced epoxy composites (NFRCs) have gained significant attention in recent years due to their potential as environmentally friendly and sustainable materials. These combine natural fibers, derived from plants, with resins create a material enhanced properties. The objective of this study is investigate the mechanical, wear thermal properties NFRCs incorporating cotton, sisal, coir wool fibers. vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM) technique was employed produce composite plates, followed by conducting tests on tensile, cotton showcased highest tensile strength, reaching 52.81 MPa, while exhibited lowest, measuring 15.34 MPa. Sisal moderate rate (1.423 mm 3 /Nm) lower coefficient friction (0.233), implying smoother relative motion. Coir presented (4.615 /Nm), attributed its coarse fiber nature. Thermal conductivity at (1.017 W/mK) lowest (0.187 W/mK). Additionally, specific heat observed (26.313 MJ/m K). Cotton demonstrated for efficient transfer, outperformed insulation. displayed versatility structural applications. emerged an effective insulator energy-saving

Abstract Humans are the only species who generate waste materials that cannot be broken down by natural processes. The ideal solution to this problem would employ compostable materials. Biodegradable play a key role in creating safer and greener world. Biodegradability is gift keeps on giving, sense of an Earth worth living. future thus best served green energy, sustainability, renewable resources. To realize such goals, should considered as valuable resource. Coconut products such as oil, milk powder, activated carbon, and desiccated coconut are increasingly in demand, leading to higher production a surplus of fibers. Despite their excellent physical mechanical properties, these fibers often discarded or burned due limited research into alternative uses, contributing environmental pollution. This study evaluates the potential hot mix asphalt (HMA) reduce waste enhance performance. Central composite design (CCD) was adopted optimize fiber-modified HMA mixes using response surface methodology (RSM) based on Marshall testing. Sixty samples with varying fiber content, bitumen length were prepared develop RSM model 20 runs. Fiber content (%), (mm), (%) considered factors, while marshall stability (KN) flow (mm) taken responses. The optimized mix, containing 0.28% (approximately 13 mm length) 4. 16% bitumen, achieved 18. 02 kN 3.12 mm. Validation solution experimental trials showed an error 7.05% for 6. 11% flow. Indirect tensile strength testing 5% dry compared 1.29 KN observed control samples. Furthermore, ratio between wet recorded be than threshold 80% both mixes. Moreover, indirect stiffness modulus (ITSM) at 5 °C mix. However, resulted around 13%, 6%, 2.16% ITSM 15 °C, 25 respectively, reference fatigue revealed that performed better Nonetheless, steady behavior against stress variation Overall, this demonstrates effective use design, reducing laboratory Additionally, it exhibit superior properties samples, paving roads sustainable efficient technologies.
