In cutaneous wound healing, an overproduction of inflammatory chemokines and bacterial infections impedes the process. Hydrogels can maintain a physiologically moist microenvironment, absorb chemokines, prevent infection, inhibit reproduction, facilitate healing at site. The development hydrogels provides novel treatment strategy for entire repair Here, series Fructus Ligustri Lucidi polysaccharide extracts loaded with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) pectin were successfully fabricated through freeze–thaw method. A hydrogel containing 1% mixing weight ratio FLL-E (named PVA-P-FLL-E1) demonstrated excellent physicochemical properties such as swellability, water retention, degradability, porosity, 00drug release, transparency, adhesive strength. Notably, this exhibited minimal cytotoxicity. Moreover, crosslinked hydrogel, PVA-P-FLL-E1, displayed multifunctional attributes, including significant antibacterial properties, earlier re-epithelialization, production few cells, formation collagen fibers, deposition I, faster remodeling ECM. Consequently, PVA-P-FLL-E1 stands out promising dressing due to its superior formulation enhanced effects in care.

The development of sustainable materials from the valorization waste is a good alternative to reducing negative environmental impact plastic packaging. objectives this study were develop and characterize pectin-based composite films incorporated with cork or either coffee grounds walnut shells, as well test films’ genotoxicity, antioxidant properties, biodegradation capacity in soil seawater. addition cork, grounds, shells modified characteristics. results showed that those thicker (0.487 ± 0.014 mm 0.572 mm), more opaque (around 100%), darker (L* = 25.30 0.78 33.93 0.84), had higher total phenolic content (3.17 0.01 mg GA/g 4.24 0.02 GA/g). On other hand, only values elongation at break (32.24 1.88% 36.30 3.25%) but lower tensile strength (0.91 0.19 MPa 1.09 0.08 MPa). All presented heterogeneous rougher microstructures than pectin film. This also revealed developed do not contain DNA-reactive substances they are biodegradable These positive properties could subsequently make an interesting eco-friendly food packaging solution contributes organic by-products, thus promoting circular economy materials.

Background and Objective: Salbutamol sulphate is indicated in the management of respiratory disorders such as asthma bronchitis. However, how it delivered can affect onset action, therapeutic effect obtained patients' adherence. This work prepared salbutamol oral dispersible films using blends water yam mucilage (WYM) pectin compared its drug release profile to immediate tablets a commercial brand.Materials Methods: The WYM was from Dioscorea alata tubers characterized but purchased.Preliminary compatibility test done between WYM, Fourier Transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy.Simple admixture with weight ratios (1:1, 1:4, 2:3) were used film-forming polymer produce by solvent evaporation method. The evaluated for mechanical properties, disintegration time profile. The later re-evaluated after 10 months storage room conditions. The profiles marketed sulphate. Results:The results showed that moisture content folding endurance reduced months, increased. Both tablet released all 60 min. While followed zero-order kinetics, first-order kinetics best described tablet. After storage, there no significant difference except F11 now kinetic. Conclusion: WYM-pectin good potential an film, providing alternative delivery system salbutamol, especially patients swallowing difficulty. The possessed stability comparable tablets.

Synthetic packaging materials are known to cause serious environmental and human health problems. Among the eco-friendly biopolymers from nonfood sources that suitable for applications, pectin is a promising candidate. However, native films (NPF) exhibit poor mechanical strength, high hydrophilicity, gas diffusion barrier properties. These shortcomings offset advantages of as potential material. To address these limitations, in this study, hematite nano ellipsoids (HNEs) were incorporated fillers reinforce films. This reinforcement resulted substantial improvements properties, hydrophobicity, thermal stability, optical attributes Compared NPF, pectin-hematite composite film exhibited 35% increase tensile 30° contact angle, 6-fold oxygen 20% water vapor study presents sustainable, biocompatible, biodegradable solution by capitalizing on biopolymer nanoparticle engineering.
