Owing to their special structure and excellent physical chemical properties, conducting polymers have attracted increasing attention in materials science. In recent years, tremendous efforts been devoted improving the comprehensive performance of by using technique “doping.” Spherical polyelectrolyte brushes (SPBs) bearing chains grafted densely surface core particles potential be novel dopant not only because spherical structure, high grafting density charge density, but also due possibility being applied printed electronics. This review first presents a summary general dopants polymers. Meanwhile, doped with is highlighted, including preparation, characterization, doping mechanism. It demonstrated that has improved addition SPBs, which act as template synthesis composites. Furthermore, applications future developments conductive composites are briefly reviewed proposed, would draw more this field.

This work deals with the coating properties of synthetic latices comprising two kinds polymers, specifically polyacrylate and polypyrrole, which were simultaneously formed by semi-continuous emulsion polymerization using a “one-pot” synthesis strategy. In this procedure, both acrylate monomers oxidative pyrrole occurred concurrently in one reactor. Polyacrylate differing polypyrrole loading prepared applying various dosages pyrrole, 0, 0.25, 0.50, based on fraction monomers. The effect situ incorporated component (having nature submicron composite polypyrrole-coated latex particles) physico-mechanical chemical resistance resulting heterogeneous films was investigated. interaction anti-corrosion pigments (see ZnS, Zn3(PO4)2, ZnFe2O4, MoS2, ZnO) corrosion coatings evaluated electrochemical linear polarization technique. lowest (achieved polymerizing 0.25 wt. % related to acrylic monomers) found be optimum binder for waterborne anticorrosive their protective function. Their compatibility selected types studied these binders. addition, influence efficiency paint For high resistance, ZnS MoS2 pigments, showing containing component, proved advantageous.

A highly sensitive ammonia-gas sensor based on a tungsten trioxide and polypyrrole (WO3/PPy) nanocomposite synthesized using pulsed-laser deposition (PLD) matrix-assisted evaporation (MAPLE) is presented in this study. The WO3/PPy prepared through layer-by-layer alternate of the PPy thin layer WO3 mesoporous layer. Extensive characterization X-ray diffraction, FTIR Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force water contact angle are carried out as-prepared layers. gas-sensing properties layers systematically investigated upon exposure to ammonia gas. results demonstrate that exhibits lower detection limit, higher response, faster response/recovery time, exceptional repeatability compared pure counterparts. significant improvement observed can be attributed distinctive interactions occurring at p–n heterojunction established between n-type p-type PPy. Additionally, enhanced surface area nanocomposite, achieved PLD MAPLE synthesis techniques, contributes its performance.
