Cadmium (Cd)-enriched adsorbents wastes possess great environmental risk due to their large-scale accumulation and toxicity in the natural environment. Recycling spent Cd-enriched into efficient catalysts for advanced applications could address issues attain carbon neutral goal. Herein, a facile strategy is developed first time reutilize alkali lignin (AL)-derived biochar (ALB) absorbed with Cd cadmium sulphide (CdS)/C composite methylene blue (MB) removal. The ALB initially treated Cd-containing solution, then recycling samples adsorbed are converted final CdS/C using NaS 2 as sulphurizing reagent vulcanization reaction. optimal ALB400 demonstrates high adsorption capacity of 576.0 mg g −1 Then shows an MB removal efficiency 94%. photodegradation mechanism mainly attributed components electron acceptor promoting separation photoelectrons/holes slowing down abrasion CdS particles. enhanced charge transfer contact between carrier active site thus improves performance reusability. This work not only develops method removing from wastewater effectively achieving waste resource utilization but also further offers significant guidance use other kinds heavy metal construction low-cost value-added functional materials.

Green agriculture faced challenges due to the shortage of efficient cadmium (Cd)-resistant plant growth-promoting bacteria (CdR-PGPB) and their low survival rate activity during application. In this study, a diverse range CdR-PGPB were isolated from rhizosphere soil Desmodium elegans, especially those with high phosphate-solubilizing capabilities (272.87-450.45 mg L

With climate change escalating to global proportions over the past decade, along with a growing population, methods are being sought help natural and cultivated environment function in an ecologically balanced manner. Over few years, there has been significantly increased interest research on use of substances for sustainable agriculture horticulture. One most effective solutions emerging need is biochar, which subject environmental years due its potential increase soil carbon sequestration, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, remediate contaminated soil, alleviate anthropogenic pressures. There evidence improved fertility crop yields agricultural production after biochar application. Our work comprehensively describes effects properties, productivity, mitigating stresses, remediation heavy metal-contaminated soils. We analyzed wide range literature important properties various uses. summarized results two decades analyze plant responses
