BackgroundDetection of K. pneumoniae superbugs carrying Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) and Carbapenemase resistance genes among hospitalized patients is crucial for infection control prevention. The aim this molecular study was to investigate the spread ESBL Carbapenemase-producing in two hospitals located Southwest Iran.MethodsOne hundred clinical isolates were randomly collected from over a period five months, November 2023. confirmed using biochemical genotypic tests. According CLSI 2022 guidelines, that exhibited at least one three indicator cephalosporins or carbapenems selected evaluation carbapenemase production. Also, it's suggested hospital-acquired infections caused by superbug addressed.
