Abstract Introduction In the last few decades, nanoparticles have found extensive use in a variety of biological applications. Traditional medicine widely uses Acanthophora sp., marine macroalgae, to cure and prevent diabetes, skin disorders, blood clotting. Objective The present study aims investigate whether green‐synthesized copper (CuNPs) might work as an anticoagulant. Methodology CuNPs were made using environmentally friendly method that extract. We used UV‐vis spectroscopy assess surface plasmon resonance material, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyze its form, energy dispersive X‐ray (EDX) identify material's constituent elements. Furthermore, Fourier‐transform infrared (FT‐IR) determined functional groups CuNPs. Results biosynthesis was confirmed by spectroscopy, which showed peak at 570 nm. FT‐IR analysis certain are involved formation These include OH stretching, C=O C‐H bonding, C‐N Cu vibration. SEM demonstrated morphology synthesized, with size 0.5 μm, while EDS their purity. anticoagulant activity prothrombin time (PT) activated partial thromboplastin (aPTT) assays clotting got longer depending on concentration. synthesized from had strong effects 100 μg/mL, further suggesting they be useful natural thinner. Conclusion interesting thing we observed is extract could anticoagulation therapy.
