Abstract The number of countries participating in China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has been increasing since its official launch 2013. Although the BRI reached 145, only some are directly connected with China through land, sea, other trade routes developed under project. Because their direct links China, these have significantly increased China. In addition to trade, also undergoing financial development (FD). Since closely related production goods services, therefore; both expected environmental impact. current study examines effect FD on carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions selected for period 2001–2019. This follows a proper estimation strategy based preliminary tests, cointegration analysis, coefficient estimation. results suggest that between no significant CO emissions, whereas, countries. Moreover, countries’ imports from reduce whereas exports increase emission policy recommendations should leverage connections technology transfer. By utilizing environmentally friendly technology, could pollution associated rest world. Furthermore, sectors divert funds industries advancing rather than pollution-intensive goods.

Many authors state that climate change is driven by increasing CO2 emissions worldwide. An understanding of the major driving forces affecting over time in both developed and developing countries important. Thus, this study, structural break analysis used to identify when trends environmental indicators—CO2 efficiency (EE)—across worldwide change. Our findings revealed notable breaks occurring 1994, coinciding with ballooning fossil energy prices. Regarding CO2, 55 143 experienced a break. Furthermore, another wave emerged 2014, corresponding implementation emission reduction plans certain nations. For 64 Upon detecting breakpoints their trends, we utilized LMDI factor decomposition discern factors, thereby elucidating underlying dynamics. In Latin America Caribbean, most were undesirable shifts, but recently, desirable shifts have increased North America, Oceania, Europe, which include many high economic levels, improving energy-related factors. Sub-Saharan Africa can also be said undergone an shift regarding This study clarifies precise influences on trend at global level identifying point there significant statistical, rather than subjective, breakpoint.

This study evaluates the impact of green finance on agricultural non-point source pollution control and emission reduction in 30 Chinese provinces from 2005 to 2022. Utilizing entropy value method unit survey inventory method, research measures levels development pollution. It employs a mediation effect model empirically assess efficacy elucidate mechanisms underlying its influence. The findings indicate that significantly curtails emissions. conclusion is still valid after series robustness tests. results mechanism analysis show environmental regulation land transfer are important channels for reduce However, slowing stronger where economic level catch-up zone. Abstract The extractive industry has a profound impact on the environment, emphasizing need for environmentally friendly practices. This study employs mixed-methods approach to evaluate environmental of bauxite and iron mining projects in Boke Kerouane, Guinea. Primary data were collected from October 2022 January 2023, with focus water pollution, soil, noise, air quality, vegetation, fauna, flora. A reference matrix was used assess activities, categorizing them as negligible, moderate, or significant. analyzed 400 soil samples 21 sites measured noise levels using an NL52 Class 1 sound level meter, monitored quality DustMate system. Biodiversity surveys conducted identify potential impacts receptors. results showed that pH averaged between 5.79 8.66, some companies exceeded average value electrical conductivity. composition presence Cr, Cu, Ni, Zn both regions. Noise particulate matter pollution guideline values at sites. project will result direct loss natural modified habitats, including erosion lateritic ridge areas. Non-native plant species have been identified Kerouane Iron Project. underscores policymakers integrate climate change mitigation strategies into land use planning integrated index economic performance improve sustainability industry.

This study analyzes effects of gross domestic product (GDP), financial development, renewable energy, share global forest area, technological innovations on Indonesian economy from 1990 2020. The Autoregressive Distributed Lag approach applied observe varying levels influence across variables. findings show significant short-term links between GDP, income inequality, advancements, ECF, statistically long-term relationships innovation. machine learning uses neural networks regression as its parametric models analyze data prediction. Both can predict how parameters interacted with making more accurate predictions. reveals that economic growth intensifies whereas equality decreases it. With rising concerns about environmental sustainability, examining the economic-environmental nexus is essential. This study investigates relationship between economic growth (GDP), renewable energy consumption (RENC), urbanization (URB), and foreign direct investment (FDI) with Norway’s ecological footprint from 1990 to 2023. Guided by Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis, we aim understand how these factors influence impact over time. Using an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, captures both short- long-term effects of variables on footprint, model stability confirmed through Cumulative Sum Squares (CUSUM) test. The findings reveal a U-shaped EKC pattern, where initial reduces but beyond certain GDP threshold, pressures increase. Renewable shown lower significantly, supporting sustainability goals. Conversely, FDI associated increased impact, potentially due resource-intensive projects. These insights underscore need for balanced policies that harmonize development preservation. Policymakers are encouraged foster green FDI, prioritize investments, implement sustainable urban planning maintain trajectory toward sustainability.
