Acute
pancreatitis
(AP)
is
a
severe
inflammatory
disorder
of
the
pancreas,
characterized
by
high
morbidity
and
mortality
rates.
Despite
significant
advancements
in
understanding
pathophysiological
mechanisms
AP,
current
treatment
options
still
face
considerable
limitations.
Recent
studies
have
underscored
therapeutic
potential
quercetin,
natural
flavonoid,
due
to
its
potent
antioxidant,
anti-inflammatory,
immunomodulatory
properties,
positioning
it
as
promising
candidate
for
AP.
This
review
explores
effects
quercetin
on
highlighting
antioxidant
activities,
role
immune
modulation,
protective
pancreatic
tissue.
Furthermore,
examines
quercetin's
multi-target
advantages
over
conventional
therapies,
such
N-acetylcysteine
corticosteroids.
Although
preliminary
suggest
that
can
alleviate
inflammation
oxidative
stress
clinical
evidence
remains
limited.
One

challenges

Protective Effects of Isolated Curcumin From Curcuma longa on Key Enzymes Involved in the Insulin Signaling Pathway and Digestive and Metabolic Enzymes Associated With Obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, and Hypertension

This
study
explores
the
potential
of
curcumin
(CUR),
extracted
from
Curcuma
longa
,
in
combating
obesity
and
Type
2
diabetes.
Obesity
diabetes
were
induced
rats
through
a
high‐fat
high‐fructose
diet
(HFFD),
CUR,
after
purification
characterization
by
Fourier
transform
infrared
spectroscopy
(FTIR)
ultraviolet
(UV)
spectroscopy,
was
administered
for
3
months
via
gastric
gavage.
The
results
show
that
CUR
supplementation
activates
insulin
signaling
pathway
dose‐dependent
manner,
leading
to
improved
sensitivity.
Specifically,
administering
at
daily
dose
100
mg/kg
significantly
reduces
activities
protein
tyrosine
phosphatase
(PTP1B)
dipeptidyl
peptidase‐4
(DPP‐4)
43%
45%,
respectively,
obese
diabetic
compared
untreated
rats.
Furthermore,
effectively
inhibits
lipase
α
‐amylase
both
serum
intestinal
levels.
In
rats,
administration
glycogen
phosphorylase
(GP)
activity
35%
enhances
synthase
(GS)
78%,
substantial
increase
hepatic
content.
Additionally,
also
led
21%
reduction
food
intake
12%
decrease
water
consumption.
These
changes
contributed
significant
reductions
blood
sugar
glycosylated
hemoglobin
(HbA1c)
levels,
