Green and sustainable development of manufacturing industry has become the developing trend, green total factor productivity is an important indicator for measuring growth industry. The rapid digitalization provides new opportunities improvement industry's (IGTFP). However, there exists two different perspectives "digital promotion effect" inhibition presently, which causes paradox". That is, may have a non-linear effect on IGTFP. Therefore, this study focuses level aims to test threshold impact Furthermore, tries explore boundary conditions applicability driving sub-industries from perspective heterogeneous technological innovation abilities in industries. empirical based panel data 29 industries China 2012–2019. results show that: (1) Digitalization significant IGTFP, research are still robust according changing variable algorithm carrying Winsorize test. (2) Industry (ITI) plays role process (3) Heterogeneity analysis shows that mechanism varies depending differentiated intensity pollution degree. policymakers should formulate strategies.

Promoting low-carbon, green development in the industrial sector is crucial for sustainable of economy and society China. As micro-entity carbon reduction, question how to enhance reduction capacity enterprises has attracted widespread attention. Research suggests that a multidimensional relationship network, consisting government, market, industry, public networks network reputation, significantly influences enterprises’ emission performance. Based on survey data 1226 manufacturing enterprises, this study empirically examines impact emissions its mechanism from micro-perspective. The findings reveal relational embedding reduces intensity, effect becomes stronger as degree increases. Compared government industry networks, market reputation have more significant reduction. heterogeneity analysis shows with higher intensity digital level. also highlights role technological innovation mediator regulator strengthening embedding.

This study explores the impact of market-based environmental regulations on green technological innovation and differential regulatory effects corporate social responsibility (CSR) different levels innovation. By analyzing data from 746 Chinese A-share listed companies period 2008–2021, this paper examines effect technology The research findings are as follows: (1) Market-based have a significant promoting in enterprises. (2) CSR amplifies positive influence innovation, but it has greater strategic innovations, like utility model patents, rather than substantial ones, invention patents. Corporate may use to superficially meet pressures stakeholder expectations, focusing more short-term compliance long-term sustainable Companies might utilize superficial means appease demands, concentrating immediate fostering enduring (3) facilitate by alleviating enterprise financing constraints improving efficiency resource allocation. (4) promotion is particularly evident state-owned enterprises, heavily polluted industries, regions with high levels. contribution provide valuable insights into implementation firms’ Specifically, elucidates nuanced responsibility, presenting fresh lens through which reconsider intricate mechanism CSR’s role conduit between policy innovative practices.

Since 2007, the National Specially Monitored Firms (NSMF) program has been a key instrument in Chinese government’s environmental regulation efforts and crucial approach for achieving sustainable development China. There is limited literature examining its effect on green total factor productivity (GTFP). This study investigates of this policy water-polluting firms’ GTFP using pollution discharge data from industrial firms employing time-varying difference-in-differences model. The findings illustrate that (1) NSMF significantly enhances firms, primarily by promoting technological progress; (2) advances through three channels: alleviating financing constraints, improving human capital, enhancing treatment technologies. provides empirical evidence effectiveness program, offering valuable insights formulation command-and-control regulations pursuit social future.
