Exploring the dynamic synergistic effect and driving mechanism of green technology innovation (GTI) tourism development (TGD) is great significance for reducing environmental footprint tourism, enhancing capacity sustainable development, promoting practical application industrial upgrading. This study takes 41 cities in Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region China as research objects, time span from 2007 to 2023. The effects mechanisms GTI are revealed by comprehensively adopting coupled coordination model panel quantile regression model. results this show that (1) average value coupling degree (CCD) shows a small upward trend, with regional differences Shanghai > Zhejiang Jiangsu Anhui. (2) High areas spatially concentrated provincial capital cities, prominent spatiotemporal heterogeneity characteristics spatial correlation. This study employs CiteSpace for visual analysis research from 2014 to 2024 Web Science Core Collections (WoSCC) database.
