Achieving environmental sustainability has become an urgent priority in the era of rapid digital economic expansion, which presents both opportunities and challenges for sustainable development. This study investigates impact economy (DIE) on (ENS) through dual dimensions industrialization (DII) industrial digitalization (IND), employing wavelet-based quantile-on-quantile regression method to capture quantile dependencies temporal variations. The results reveal that DIE positively impacts ENS long term, while its short-term effects are mixed, with positive at lower higher quantiles but negative mid-range [0.35–0.45] [0.65–0.7]. Specifically, DII exerts a predominantly effect due costs infrastructure turns term as matures, especially [0.85–0.95]. IND, conversely, consistently short- long-term scenarios, highlighting role enhancing efficiency reducing emissions. These emphasize need targeted policies, including prioritizing digitalization, developing green infrastructure, adopting phased development strategies maximize benefits.
