Pancreatic cancer (PC), a highly lethal tumor with nearly identical incidence and mortality rates, has become the sixth leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Hypoxia is an important malignant factor in PC, as it regulates angiogenesis, metabolic reprogramming, progression, metastasis. Disrupting hypoxic microenvironment can enhance efficacy antitumor therapy improve prognosis patients PC. With advent bioinformatics, hypoxia-related PC models have emerged recent years. They provide reference for estimating immune identify potential biomarkers targeting microenvironment. However, these findings based on bioinformatic analysis may not be completely reliable without further experimental evidence clinical cohort validation. The application practice to predict survival time develop anti therapeutic strategies remains its infancy. In this editorial, we review current status prognostic analyze their similarities differences, discuss several existing challenges, solutions directions studies. This editorial will facilitate optimization, validation, determination molecular mechanisms related models.
