This paper examines the complex interplay between environmental management (EM) and decarbonization, highlighting how these domains can be seamlessly integrated to create a comprehensive framework for sustainable futures in energy sector. The emphasizes adoption of green technologies, efficiency measures, innovative carbon capture, utilization, storage (CCUS) technologies infrastructures. Central this approach are circular economy principles, low-greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions production processes, CCUS strategies. A conceptual model EM–decarbonization nexus, comprising six enablers, was developed illustrated with practical examples from various countries regions worldwide. findings reveal significant progress advancing EM decarbonization efforts.
