ABSTRACT Water pollution by persistent dyes and bacteria has become one of the major environmental concerns. One most widely used strategies is use supported metal nanoparticles (MNPs) to remove a wide variety dyes. This work concerns dispersion MNPs (M = Ag, Zn, Cu) on kaolin clay using ultrasonic irradiation. The resulting solids were as catalysts reduce methylene blue (MB), methyl orange (MO), G (OG) in simple binary system. obtained results showed that irradiation produced good with ultrafine sizes. According XPS TEM analysis, Cu, Zn) well formed. Catalytic tests AgNPs‐modified (K‐Ag) was efficient compared other modified ZnNPs CuNPs. In all tests, K‐Ag catalyst more MB dye than azo It shown reduction influenced concentration starting reactants, mass catalyst, nature used. rate constants calculated be 83.10 −4 24.10 s −1 for MO dyes, respectively. For system containing mixture selective dye. reuse without losing its performance. Antibacterial applications K‐Cu material overall bacteria.
