ligand
(H4L)
was
designed
and
synthesized
from
the
condensation
reaction
of
dialdehyde
3,3’-thiobis(methyiene)-bis-(5-methyl-salicylaldehyde)
(b)
with
isonicotinic
hydrazide.
In
DMSO/methanol
solution,
two
coordination
polymers
(CPs),
formulated
as
{[Ag(H4L)NO3]·DMSO·2H2O}n
(CP
1)
{[Zn2(H2L2-)2]·3DMSO·3H2O}n
2),
were
H4L
Ag(I)
or
Zn(II)
ions,
respectively.
These
CPs
characterized
via
elemental
analysis,
FT-IR
spectra,
single
crystal
X-ray
determination.
The
results
show
that
CP
1
exists
a
1D
looped-chain
polymer,
while
2
2D
sheet
polymer.
configurations
analyzed
compared
in
detail,
which
disclose
terminal
pyridyl
nitrogen
atoms
exhibit
obviously
stronger
ability
to
other
sites.

electrochemical
antibacterial
properties

Abstract
The
Schiff
base
condensation
reaction
between
precursor
diamine
N,N'-bis(2-aminophenyl)-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide
and
1,8-naphthyridine-2-carbaldehyde
yielded
a
racemic
compound
(LP/LM),
which
was
characterized
by
1H/13C
NMR,
infrared
spectroscopy,
elemental
analysis,
single
crystal
X-ray
diffraction.
Three
complexes,
[Hg2LI4]
(1),
[Hg2LBr4]
(2),
[Hg2L2Cl4]‧2H2O
(3)
with
different
coordination
configurations
were
obtained
from
the
of
this
HgX2
(X
=
I−,
Br−,
Cl−),
respectively,
their
structures
geometries
determined
via
diffraction
techniques.
Both
12
exist
as
dinuclear
complexes
1:2
molar
ratio
L
Hg(II),
while
3
exists
44-membered
metallamacrocycle
1:1
Hg(II).
structural
diversity
these
three
indicates
that
counter
anions
have
significant
effects
on
topology.
