Abstract To solve the high heat dissipation problem of lithium ion battery, air‐cooled with fins is adopted for thermal management. Heat characteristics two types air inlets and outlets (single inlet outlet, double outlet) surfaces (smooth fin structure) were simulated compared. When outlet are single compared smooth battery packs, finned construction packs can increase Nusselt number by 24.9%. 13.3%. The double‐air pack significantly reduce average temperature single‐air pack. Compared single‐inlet single‐outlet solar pack, it Nu 131.6%, comprehensive performance index reach 1.66.
