In this study, Chinese yam polysaccharides (CYPs) were fermented using Lactobacillus plantarum M616, and changes in the chemical composition, structure, anti-inflammatory activity of CYPs before after fermentation investigated. The carbohydrate content L. M616-fermented CYP (CYP-LP) increased from 71.03% ± 2.75 to 76.28% 2.37%, whereas protein polyphenol almost unaffected compared with those unfermented (CYP-NF). monosaccharide composition CYP-NF included rhamnose, arabinose, galactose, glucose, mannose a molar ratio 0.493:0.6695:0.9738:0.7655:12.4365. CYP-LP had same monosaccharides as CYP-NF, but was 0.3237:0.3457:0.8278:2.5541:10.4995. Meanwhile, molecular weight polydispersity CYP-LP, respectively, 124.774 kDa 6.58 (CYP-NF) 376.628 17.928, indicating low homogeneity. vitro antioxidant analysis showed that M616 varying effects on against DPPH, ABTS, hydroxyl, superoxide radicals. However, superior is more effective regulating dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, malondialdehyde, nitric oxide, tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin-1β, interleukin-6 release lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW 264.7 macrophages. This study suggested potential ingredient drugs functional food.

In this study, Chinese yam polysaccharide (CYP) was fermented by Saccharomyces cerevisiae CICC 32883, and its structural features antioxidant activities before after fermentation were analyzed. S. 32883-fermented CYP (CYP-SC) had higher carbohydrate content lower protein than the nonfermented (CYP-NF). The monosaccharide composition of CYP-SC unaffected, but proportion changed. Compared with CYP-NF's molecular weight polydispersity 124.774 kDa 6.58, respectively, those reduced to 20.384 3.379. Antioxidant results showed that better effects CYP-NF in scavenging DPPH, ABTS, hydroxyl, superoxide radicals. Moreover, enhancing oxidation capacity protecting HepG2 cells CYP-NF. Furthermore, on alleviating repairing H2O2-damaged are superior This work offers a green efficient method for activity dietary plant polysaccharides.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of fermentation on physicochemical properties and in vitro antioxidant activities Glycyrrhiza leaf, compare structures unfermented (GLP) fermented (FGLP) polysaccharides, assess their growth-promoting using zebrafish embryos. The results showed that polysaccharide content, extract yield, reduced sugar content leaf increased significantly after 36 h fermentation. In parallel, assays demonstrated for exhibited strong DPPH, hydroxyl radical scavenging, reducing power. Scanning electron microscope infrared spectroscopy analyses revealed differences surface morphology with both polysaccharides being acidic containing pyranose rings α-glycosidic bonds. molecular weight FGLP was lower than GLP, molar ratios guluronic acid, amino glucose, glucuronic xylose, arabinose were increased. model, promoted growth development embryos, most pronounced effect at a concentration 20 µg/mL superior protective against lipid peroxidation cell death induced by 2,2′-azobis (2-methylpropionamidine) dihydrochloride. findings could enhance utilization capacity. These opened avenues further research into bioavailability vivo offered valuable insights its potential as natural innovative antioxidant. Highlights

Due to the restricts of treatment methods and high costs, waste tobacco materials are usually discarded, which leads resources environmental pollution. Present work used leaves as carbon source produce polysaccharide (CGP-TL) by Chaetomium globosum CGMCC 6882 via submerged fermentation. CGP-TL yield was 1.62 ± 0.35 g/L, contents carbohydrate protein in were 91.73% 6.49% 5.51% 0.84%. Structural characterization showed composed rhamnose, arabinose, galactose, glucose, mannose xylose a molar ratio 9.9688: 6.8482: 19.6045: 29.4448: 0.8033: 0.5874. Meanwhile, its weight-average molecular weight, number-average weight polydispersity 286.035 kDa, 118.146 kDa 2.421, respectively. In vitro antioxidant analysis scavenged DPPH, ABTS, hydroxyl superoxide radicals positively correlated concentration, corresponding scavenging effects at 2.5 mg/mL 75.53% 1.89%, 96.24% 2.32%, 52.91% 2.28% 65.26% 2.47%. Furthermore, not only improved antioxidative status RAW 264.7 cells, but also exerted oxidative repairing on H2O2-damaged cells increasing levels SOD, CAT GSH-Px, reducing MDA level. Overall, this will provide references for green efficient utilization cellulose resources.

Introduction Hyperlipidemia is regarded as one of the crucial factors leading to atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases. Gut microbiota plays an important role in regulating host lipid metabolism. Nevertheless, exact mechanisms behind this remain unclear. Methods In present study, a hyperlipidemic zebrafish model was established using high-cholesterol diet (HCD) evaluate anti-hyperlipidemic effects Lactobacillus fermentum E15 ( L. E15). Results showed that effectively reduced accumulation blood vessels liver HCD-fed larvae. Meanwhile, improved abnormal levels, normalized enzyme activity. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) analysis revealed downregulated expression sterol regulatory element-binding factor (SREBP-1), peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPAR- γ ), fatty acid synthase (Fasn), while upregulated receptor-alpha α ). Additionally, metabolomic produced series short-chain acids (SCFAs), including acetic acid, propionic butyric isovaleric acid. Notably, contributed reduction droplet contrast, blocking G-protein coupled receptor 43 (GPR43) with pertussis toxin (PTX) abolished on reducing RT-qPCR results further suggested both promoted GPR43 leptin A, which inhibited by PTX. Conclusion These findings alleviates HCD-induced hyperlipidemia activating through SCFAs.
